Opening Night! and Return of the Room Comments!

Oh Man!

Last night was fo flippin awesome! I don't think I've ever worked at a house where the opening night was that busy! Yes I realize that half the people were the birthday party coming through 3 times... but still! We all got to work on our rooms and find out what worked, what didn't work... it was a GREAT opening night!

Way to go Everyone!

Okay! ON TO THE ROOMS!!!

Lets see we stopped at....

The Kitchen: Please have a taste of what cook is making today... we don't need any NEW body parts put in the stew...

The Dark Room: Eric... what else is there to say?

The Body Drop: Oh dear... one of the patients got loose... and they have made a new friend! Watch out... the friend will most likely jump out to hug you....

Electric Chair: Its another form of 'Fixing' the crazy out of people... I hear electroshock works?

Isolation Hall: This is in the deep dark parts of the Asylum... Mice abound, and watch out... the patients don't like to stay in those cells...

Vortex Hallway: Trippy... just Trippy!

Dot Room: The patients don't like it down here... and you know when they don't like it... its probably full of things that will jump out at you...

Power Ranger Room/ Bar Room: Full of clownish glee... behind bars? I wonder what they are keeping in thee..... AAAAAAAAUUUUGH!!!

Clown Hallways: One clown roams these hallways... keep away from him! And try not to get sucked into the Ghost Wall...

Gear Hall: Yet another clown... just run... just RUN!

Turn Table/Cannon: The floor is moving... literally! Try not to get swept away or blown back!

White Room: This is the sterilization room... for when you leave... its only for your health.... muaahahahaha

Maze: Here you will meet the twins... and the chainsaw... i hope you get out in time... HAHAHAHA

Recap of the Mandatory Meeting

Wow! I can't believe we had so many people show up! Its GREAT!!

Basically what happened was we went over the paperwork and rules. Everyone has to work hard, fill out the online paperwork... yeah... fun stuff!

We went through the actual house, its so FREAKING COOL! I really like the additions and the upgrades! especially since we now walk THROUGH the room rather than around the action behind its little wall.

Eric Davis, of course, was glad to see his Dark room hasn't changed at all. I'm excited that the Hobo Hall now has an actual purpose! And the mice in the floor sounds like a TOTALLY awesome Idea! I just hope they don't eat eachother again... that was no good!

Lets do a run down of the rooms and what is expected in them.

Entrance Hall: Heavy chains block the entrance, then while following the room to the right you run into dear Aunt Betty *yes... i just named the thing* who has been petrified by the blasts of dark energy. Hopefully our patrons can get out of the way in time... so they don't share her fate.

Parlor: Here is where the master of the house spends much of his time, playing the piano, smoking his pipe... and being extremly creepy. Patrons will walk through the middle of his domain careful to avoid the fate of those on the walls who displeased the Master.

Portrait Hallway: This area is where art LITERALLY comes to life. The pictures change from sweet family scenes to those of torture and grotesqueness. But thats not the worst part. At this point patrons might get their first glimps of the family favorites. The Twins! these two 'fun loving' children get int all sorts of trouble, jumping off things, crawling out of portraits, chasing people down hallways all the while laughing. Patrons would be wise to move on to Grandmothers Sitting Room to get away from them.

Grandmother's Sitting Room: Here lies Uncle Tom. He was a nice gentleman... until he refused to go to a party with Grandmother. Unfortunately when we say 'When Grandmama is not happy, aint nobody happy.' Its usually because those who could be happy... are dead.

The Cave: Patrons will duck through this area to avoid the bats flying through the air, admitting squeaks of annoyance at being disturbed. Here is another place one might run into the Twins, or someone far more sinister.

Dr. Terrible: Nothing like Dr. Horrible, although a desire to rule the world is similar. His experiments are nothing but failures. Patrons will see an experiment in the making, one that will also... most likely end up in failure.

Body Drop: The remains of the Doctors failed experiments stay in this room. But are all of them failures?

Decomposition Room: Watch out for our friends, they like to Jump out of their seats to greet you... muahahahahahah.

Thats it for this week! We'll cover the second half of the House on Monday!

Have a good WEEK!

Just Two Of the Letters

Hey Everyone! for those who didn't come to the meeting on saturday morning *looks meanacingly at pretty much every veteran* We did some brain storming and came up with great ideas and plans and all around awesome. SOOO!! Saturday September 26th 7:00 PM MST at the Scream Asylum... MANDATORY meeting. This means you MUST be there if you want to work there! Please bring with you 2 forms of ID, this means ONE picture ID and either your birth certificate or Social Security Card. Even if you were here last year, we need you to bring that stuff. Also, please bring your schedules, when you need time off, when you want to work, so on and so forth, we will try to work with everyones schedule, but there will be stipulations that will be explained at the meeting. PLEASE PLEASE PLEEEEEEEASE bring your friends... we have a MUCH bigger house this year, and we need lots of happy/scary fun people to run it! We're gonna be walking through the house and explaining what is done in each room. Bring a notebook along so you can write down what you would most like to do! It helps with scheduling so we aren't just throwing people into rooms. But yes! If you have any questions, please ask! the reason the staff is here is to help and keep everyone informed! So let me know and i can get the information to who it needs to get to! If you have suggestions for rooms/types of costumes please write them in the discussion Eric started! You are all super fantabulous! Have a great week and yeah... HOORAY!!
